The country music legend and musical icon will lead a star-studded celebration April 29-30 at the iconic outdoor LA concert venue.
Country music legend Willie Nelson turns 90 years old on April 29 and he’s throwing a birthday bash with several best friends and family at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on April 29-30, in what is dubbed Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90.
In a short statement released this week, Willie said “I can’t think of a better way to spend my 90th birthday than being surrounded by family, friends, and of course the fans who made all this possible. It’s an honor to perform with such an incredible group of artists at such an iconic venue.“
Willie Nelson 90 will include performances by Nelson, Allison Russell, Beck, Billy Strings, Bobby Weir, Charley Crockett, Chris Stapleton, Edie Brickell, Kacey Musgraves, Leon Bridges, Lukas Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Margo Price, Miranda Lambert, Nathaniel Rateliff, Neil Young, Nora Jones, Orville Peck, Particle Kid, Rosanne Cash, Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Sturgill Simpson, The Avett Brothers, The Chicks, The Lumineers, Tom Jones, Tyler Childers, Warren Haynes, and Ziggy Marley, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks.
Each night’s performances will offer a unique concert experience filled with once-in-a-lifetime performances and collaborations.
Willie Nelson’s seven-decade career has shown no signs of slowing down. The Grammy-winning country music legend is releasing a new album on March 3rd, I Don’t Know a Thing About Love, and recently at the Sundance Film Festival premiered a five-part autobiographical documentary, Wille Nelson & Family. He’s also nominated for four Grammy awards this year, including Best Country Solo Performance for “Live Forever” from Live Forever: A Tribute to Billy Joe Shaver, Best Country Song with “I’ll Love You Till The Day I Die” from his 2022 album of the same title, which is also nominated for Best Country album. He’s also nominated in the Best Roots Gospel Album category for The Willie Nelson Family. Willie is busier than most men half his age.
Long Story Short: Willie Nelson 90 will take place on Saturday, April 29th and Sunday, April 30th. Tickets become available on January 28th.
