Todd La Torre Releases First Single From Solo Album

Today, Queensrÿche frontman Todd La Torre has released “Darkened Majesty” from his upcoming debut solo album.

It was recently announced that Todd La Torre was going to release his debut solo album, Rejoice In The Suffering, on February 5, 2021. Luckily you don’t have to wait until then to hear some of the new material as the first single, “Darkened Majesty,” was released today.

“’Darkened Majesty’ was one of the last songs written for this album.  After having much of this album written, we wanted a song that immediately started out with a faster tempo. To be perfectly honest, this song was completely written in two days,” explains Todd La Torre. “We felt that for a first song, this showcases some of that vocal and musical diversity that exists on the album. Thanks to everyone for all of the amazing interest and valued support of my debut solo album!!”

La Torre used the unexpected pause in touring this year to knuckle down and finish up his solo album. He teamed up with longtime collaborator Craig Blackwell and producer Chris “Zeuss” Harris. The new single features Blackwell on guitar and La Torre on vocals and drums.
