The Who Announce 2019 North American Tour

The Who announce a 29-date summer and fall tour in support of their first album of new songs in 13 years.

Today, The Who released the dates for their 2019 Moving On! Tour. The tour will kick off on May 7 in Grand Rapids, MI with the summer dates wrapping on June 1 in Toronto, ON. The fall dates of the tour will then launch on September 6 in St Paul, MN and will conclude on October 23 in Edmonton, AB. The iconic rock band will be joined on stage by some of the best orchestras in the US and Canada.

All tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public on Friday, January 18 at LiveNation.com. The Who fan club will have access to the presale which starts on Wednesday, January 16 at 10am local time and will run through to Thursday, January 17 at 10pm local time. $1 from each ticket sold for this tour will go to Teen Cancer America. Also, every pair of tickets bought online will receive a redeemable code for a copy of the upcoming CD release.

Pete Townshend stated: “The Who are touring again in 2019. Roger christened this tour Moving On! I love it. It is what both of us want to do. Move on, with new music, classic Who music, all performed in new and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Looking forward to seeing you all.  Are you ready?”

Roger Daltrey said: “Be aware Who fans! Just because it’s The Who with an orchestra, in no way will it compromise the way Pete and I deliver our music. This will be full throttle Who with horns and bells on.”

This tour will be their first in the States since their 2017 Las Vegas residency which was accompanied by a limited run of shows which had been rescheduled from the 2016 leg of their 50th anniversary celebration tour.
