Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Announces 2019 Inductees

The results have been counted and the seven inductees for the class of 2019 have been announced.

After winning the fan vote, English rockers Def Leppard are to be inducted into the 2019 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Joining them will be The Cure, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies. Stevie Nicks was previously inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of Fleetwood Mac.

Missing out on this round of inductions are Todd Rundgren, Rage Against The Machine, John Prine, LL Cool J, Kraftwerk, Rufus and Chaka Khan.

In order for an artist or band to be eligible for nomination, they must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before nomination.

The 34th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Friday, March 29 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Ticket sale dates will be announced in January, with a small number being made available via pre-sales to Rock Hall members. For those not lucky enough to be able to attend, the ceremony will be broadcast on HBO shortly after.

Congratulations to the class of 2019.
