San Francisco’s Outside Lands announced its 2023 line up for the iconic three-day festival in Golden Gate Park, taking place on August 11-13th.
Since its inception, Outside Lands has always delivered heavyweight headliners, up-and-coming acts of the day, and an eclectic mix of music art and culture. It has international musical acts, gastro magicians, mixologists, cannabis purveyors in GrassLands, microbreweries in BeerLands, and California Wineries in where else? WineLands. It all comes together to create an experience like no other in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, San Francisco. Hot mid-August days giving way to cool fog-shrouded evenings create a magical and mysterious atmosphere in Golden Gate Park.
In its 15th year, Outside Lands’ 2023 lineup marks the return of Foo Fighters. Their Outside Lands performance will be only their 8th US performance in their current iteration since the death of drummer Taylor Hawkins in early 2022. Rounding out the top three headliners will be hip-hop superstar Kendrick Lamar and the electronic duo Odesza, both returning as first-time headliners at OutsideLands. Supporting headline artists include The 1975, Lana Del Rey, Megan Thee Stallion, Janelle Monáe, Zedd, and Maggie Rogers.
The Foo Fighters’ decision to carry on has brought much delight to Foo Fans worldwide. With Grohl’s signature raspy vocals and the band’s explosive energy, Foo Fighters are sure to rock the stage and get the crowd on their feet. Certainly, they’ll be playing all their classic hits as well as possibly material from their rumored and highly anticipated upcoming new album,
The electronic music duo Odesza brings dreamy, atmospheric soundscapes and mesmerizing visuals that attempt to transport the audience to another dimension. With their innovative use of live instrumentation and electronic production, Odesza creates a unique and unforgettable live experience.
Last but certainly not least, is the one and only Kendrick Lamar. The multi-award-winning rapper and songwriter is known for his thought-provoking lyrics and powerful performances. Other notable artists include Lil’ Yachty, Cigarettes After Sex, J.I.D., Interpol, Willow, Father John Misty, Tobe Nwigwe, Orville Peck, and up-and-coming Irish indie rockers Inhaler. With more than 50 musical acts spanning multiple genres and styles, Outside Lands 2023 promises to be an unforgettable experience.
