Michael Schenker Announces New Album

Michael Schenker celebrates his 64th birthday today by announcing his new studio album, set for release later this year.

The upcoming album, the follow up to 2018’s Resurrection, is set for release some time in August this year. Since 2016, Michael Schenker has been touring with the Michael Schenker Fest lineup, comprised of Gary Barden and Graham Bonnet, who were former Michael Schenker Group vocalists, as well as Robin McAuley of the McAuley Schenker Group. Joining them for instrumental accompaniment was Chris Glen (bass) and Ted McKenna (drums) from M.S.G. and Steve Mann (guitarist/keyboard) of the McAuley Schenker Group. Doogie White, singer from Schenker’s Temple of Rock, also joined the lineup. After the success of this ensemble, they have decided to record together for a second time.

“Thank you to my fans all around the world for all the birthday messages I have received today. I’d like to take this opportunity to repay your kind birthday messages by announcing that I am currently in the studio with Michael Voss recording a second Michael Schenker Fest studio album. With great pleasure we will once again have Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet, Robin McAuley and Doogie White on vocals with Chris Glen (Bass) Ted McKenna (Drums) and Steve Mann (Keys / Guitar).
It’s great to keep the family together for another studio album and it’s already sounding great”, says Michael Schenker.

Before the album is released in August, Michael Schenker Fest is taking to the road, bringing the tour across North America.
