Duran Duran’s North American Tour is Underway

British new wave band Duran Duran is currently Stateside ahead of their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction this November.

Duran Duran‘s tour was initially meant to kick off in Minnesota, but unfortunately, inclement weather forced this show to be canceled. Instead, Chicago became the tour opener. They have a tight schedule ahead with a show at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage tonight and on to Washington’s Merriweather Post Pavilion tomorrow. The tour will wrap with an impressive three dates at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The 2022 tour is part of their 40th-anniversary celebration and is in support of their latest album, Future Past. The album was released in October 2021 and features special guests Graham Coxon, who performs guitars on every song, Tove Lo, Chai, Ivorian Doll, and Mike Garson (Bowie). While the tour is in support of the latest release, you know it won’t be a Duran Duran show without hearing some of their biggest hits from the last 40 years.

Opening for them on this tour will be Nile Rodgers and CHIC so make sure you get there early!
