Danny Wimmer Presents Cancels Spring Festivals

Amid the current COVID-19 crisis, today Danny Wimmer Presents announced the cancelation of their festivals which were scheduled for Spring.

It have now been confirmed that Epicenter (May 1-3 in Concord, NC), Welcome To Rockville (Mary 8-10 in Daytona Beach, FL), and Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival (May 15-17 in Columbus, OH) have all been canceled due to governmental restrictions on mass gatherings. They tried to reschedule these three festivals, but due to scheduling conflicts, venue availabilities and a number of other factors out of their control, they were unable to postpone the events. All three festivals will be back in 2021.

For those who bought tickets to these festivals, you have three options available to you. You can request a full refund, apply it towards the festivals in 2021, or you can exchange your pass for one of the other DWP 2020 festivals. All pass holders will receive an email within the next 72 hours with full details.

At this moment in time, the Fall festivals will still go ahead as scheduled. For now, they are holding off announcing lineups and releasing passes for sale for Louder Than Life, Bourbon & Beyond, and Aftershock, until there is a clearer picture of what lies ahead. However, there is some good news in that Louisville’s Louder Than Life is expanding to four days, and will now include Thursday, September 17.

Furthermore, the headliners for this additional day will be Metallica. Those who already have passes for Louder Than Life will be given the additional 4th day free. They are also deferring the next installment payment on the layaway plan for a month. The refund option for Louder Than Life will also be left open through until Friday, March 27 should you decide you want your money back.

In a bid to make passes a little more affordable right now, you can reserve a pass for Louder Than Life for $1 down per pass, with payments not starting until May 3. Payments will be split up evenly in May, June, July, and August.

They have arranged for many of the bands who were set to perform at Sonic Temple, Epicenter and Welcome To Rockville, to play at Louder Than Life. This will be fully announced once it is deemed appropriate.

If it turns out that Hometown Rising, Louder Than Lifer, Bourbon & Beyond, or Aftershock need to be canceled due to COVID-19, all passes will be refunded. We will keep you up to date with any future news on this situation when we get it.
