Brand New Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Song Released

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ previously unreleased song, “For Real,” makes it’s debut today and you can hear it here.

“For Real” will appear on the upcoming album, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: The Best of Everything which is set for release on March 1. This will be the follow up to last year’s release, the career-spanning box set An American Treasure
 
Before Tom Petty’s passing, he wanted to release his greatest hits and strongest works from across his lengthy career which spanned four decades. Petty’s family and bandmates wanted to make this dream of his a reality. The collection will include work across all of his catalog, including solo work, songs with The Heartbreakers and also material from Mudcrutch.

The Best of Everything will be released as a 2-disc CD with deluxe packaging, both black and clear vinyl LP and all digital formats. The 38-tracklist includes another previously unreleased song – “The Best of Everything (alternate version)” which includes a never-before heard second verse. The alternate version was originally recorded for the 1985 album, Southern Accents
