Interview with Davy Knowles

Davy Knowles, lured by the promise of tea and chocolate Hob Nobs, was kind enough to come in to speak with us about his new album, The Invisible Man.

If you visit the website regularly you’re sure to have come across a Davy Knowles show review, album review, or interview. It’s fair to say that he is one of Loud Hailer’s favorite artists.

The last time we spoke with Davy in 2023, he was gearing up to release the stripped-back, and very personal album, If I Should Wander. He’s been relentlessly on the road since then, whether solo, with his bandmates Tod Bowers and Mike Hansen, or with Band of Friends. That hasn’t, however, stopped him from penning and recording another fantastic album, The Invisible Man, which was released in November last year. Whilst this album is an electric full-band record with Tom and Mike, the lyrics see Davy in a similarly reflective mood, musing on his own life and the world around him.

It was a pleasure, as always, to speak with Davy about writing this fantastic album, the background to a couple of the songs, and coming up with killer guitar intros to songs. He was also kind enough to play us a couple from the new album!

Davy is already back out on the road, so be sure to head over to his website for dates and be sure to catch him when he comes through!

So get yourself a cup of tea, and settle in for our chat with Davy
