Wallows performed two sold-out shows at The Warfield in San Francisco on their Tell Me That It’s Over Tour.

Wallows is an alternative rock band composed of Dylan Minnette (vocals/guitar), Braeden Lemasters (guitar/vocals), and Cole Preston (drums). The tour is named after their most recent album, which was just released on March 25th.

To start out the night, they performed “I Don’t Want to Talk,” which was the first single they released from the new album. The crowd was so excited to be there, and they also came prepared. Along with knowing all the lyrics to every song, they also brought balloons to bounce around, signs to show the band how much they mean to them, and even flowers to give to the band as well. The band even mentioned early on that they could already tell it was going to be a great show and that they liked it more than the previous night. The night before, it was also the fourth anniversary of their first EP Spring, but they forgot about it, so to make up for it, they performed “These Days,” the last single from that project.

Throughout the night, each member switched between singing and playing different instruments. During their song “Quarterback,” Dylan and Cole completely switched positions, with Dylan on the drums and Cole singing. It just showed how talented each member truly is.

The crowd’s favorite song of the night was “1980s Horror Film II,” which was also the song that introduced a lot of people to the band. The band has a great stage presence, and you could tell how much fun they were having on stage and playing off the crowd’s energy. But they also made sure to check in with the crowd as it was really hot inside the venue and they made sure the fans drank water and to take care of their neighbors. They knew they wouldn’t have to worry as they said they have the best fans in the world.

Like all good things, the night had to come to an end at some point, and the final song they performed was “Guitar Romantic Search Adventure,” the last song from their new album. But because the crowd was so great, they came back out for an encore performing three more songs “Hard to Believe,” “Ice Cold Pool,” which was the audience’s choice, and “Remember When,” which brought their song total for the night 21 and the time 10:30 at night.

The tour, which just started this month, is set to go until the end of June in the United States as well as a couple of Europe dates later this year. Early next year they will go on to do a full European leg of the tour which they also added a couple more North American dates for the fall. Be on the lookout for when they come to a city near you because you don’t want to miss them.
