Still Woozy at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, TN

Pop artist Still Woozy finally makes his way to Music City on his If This Isn’t Nice Tour, celebrating his debut album.

After several date changes and rescheduled shows, Still Woozy finally made his way to Nashville, TN. He is on his If This Isn’t Nice Tour, performing songs from his first full-length album, If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is, which was released in 2021. His non-stop energetic movements, although contrary to his mellow sound, made for a fun concert experience that kept everyone engaged.

Before Woozy even hit the stage, he was building an atmosphere with several stage elements. At the back of the stage, there hung a huge drawing featuring some greenery and his stage name in a bright fuchsia color in whimsical lettering. The rest of the stage was made in a jungle-like setting, decorated with bunches of tall plants.

But before the show began, Woozy teased the audience several times, fading the waiting music and jokingly indicating he was coming on stage. This seems to have been a trend at a lot of his previous shows on this tour. Although it might have created some frustration from the crowd, all was forgiven when Woozy opened with a lively performance of “Window.”

He kept up the energy with “Rocky,” one of the singles from the album. Still Woozy’s stage presence remained consistent throughout his whole set, which aligned well with his guitarist and opener Legwurk. During and in between songs, Woozy was constantly interacting with the crowd and giving them permission to get crazy. At one point he asked, “Who wants to shake their butts tonight?” and followed the question with his own dance as he stood on one of the subwoofers. It was obvious he hadn’t learned any specific choreography, which in turn influenced the audience to freely jump and dance too.

After a few other high-energy songs like “Get By,” he entered a more groovy section of the set, performing “Woopie.” That didn’t stop Woozy and Legwurk from keeping their liveliness at 100. They were constantly running and dancing from one side of the stage to the other.

About halfway through his set, he picked up his acoustic guitar to play “Drake.” There was a little less movement during this song, but his soft vocals really shined through, creating a more intimate atmosphere. But he didn’t stay there long, following with head-banger “That’s Life.” Afterward, Woozy brought his acoustic back out and performed crowd favorite “Kenny” and asked the audience to hold up their phones with the flashlight on. The song is definitely a change of pace from the previous songs. Woozy stood center stage for the majority of the song, making sure to take time to intimately connect with his fans.

Woozy ended his set with “WTF,” but it wasn’t long before he returned to the stage to answer the crowd’s deafening cries for more. For his encore, he performed his most popular song “Goodie Bag.”

Still Woozy still has tons of shows left during the next month. Make sure to grab a ticket and your dancing shoes. His debut album, If This Isn’t Nice, I Don’t Know What Is, is available on all streaming platforms.
