MisterWives delighted their fans as they brought the long-awaited Resilient Little Tour to the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco this week.

The tour is named after a lyric from MisterWives’ 19-track album that they released last year when the chances of ever touring again didn’t look so good. The tour kicked off November 12th in Atlanta Georgia and is set to run until December 19th when they will wrap the tour at New York’sWebster Hall.

To start off the show, MisterWives performed “the end” which is the first track on Superbloom. This song perfectly set up the type of night it was going to be. Most of the songs they performed were from Superbloom except for just a few – “Box Around the Sun,” a song from their 2015 debut album Our Own House, and “Coloring Outside the Lines,” from their 2017 album Connect The Dots

Before the song “rock bottom,” lead singer Mandy Lee said that the song was for people who have been able to pull themselves up from rock bottom and that she is so proud if you are one of those people. The band was also happy that San Francisco was alive and well. Everyone in the crowd was dancing and having an especially fun night at the weekday show.

The band put on an amazing performance. After one crazy backbend, Mandy said that it hurt and that she has to start thinking about taking it out of the show as it hurts a lot more than it did two years ago when she first started doing it. You could also tell how happy they all were to finally be playing again. They talked about how they were there to celebrate Superbloom and everyone’s resilience. Mandy even mentioned how they all turned to the power of music during the pandemic and that with music you’re never alone in any struggles. That is what music means to them and they hope it means the same for others as well.

The stage setup was impressive. It was the classic MisterWives arrangement which had flowers and rainbows everywhere. It was a beautiful, colorful display for all to appreciate.

The last song they performed was “Reflections” but nobody was ready to say goodnight just yet. Luckily, MisterWives came back out for an encore where they performed “SUPERBLOOM” and “Our Own House” which are both title-track songs from their albums.

With a MisterWives show, you’re always guaranteed a good time. As we mentioned earlier, you still have time to see them on this tour before it ends so definitely go see them live, if you have the chance.
