BottleRock Festival 2024 Day Two at Napa Valley Expo in Napa Valley, CA

Day two of BottleRock 2024 was an unforgettable night for music fans with Pearl Jam, Mana, and famous friends, chefs, actors and celebrities.

BottleRock 2024’s second day delivered an unforgettable experience, headlined by the iconic Pearl Jam. The diverse lineup, featuring Mondo Cozmo, Holly Humberstone, My Morning Jacket, and Mana created a rich tapestry of sound that literally echoed through the Napa Valley.

The afternoon began with Mondo Cozmo, whose eclectic mix of rock and alternative sounds set an upbeat tone for the day. Frontman and new Napa resident Josh Ostrander’s charisma was palpable, engaging the audience with his gritty vocals and infectious stage presence. The band’s rendition of “Shine” resonated deeply, reminding attendees of their unique blend of hope and rebellion.

Next up, British singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone graced the stage with her hauntingly beautiful melodies. Her ethereal voice and poignant lyrics captivated the crowd, creating an intimate atmosphere despite the festival’s grand scale. Performing hits like “Scarlett” and “Falling Asleep at the Wheel,” Humberstone’s raw emotion and vulnerability left a lasting impression on the audience, showcasing why she is one of the most exciting new artists in the industry.

As the sun began to set, My Morning Jacket took the stage, their expansive soundscapes perfectly complementing the evening’s ambiance. Jim James and his bandmates delivered a set that was both powerful and introspective. Highlights included a soul-stirring performance of “Mahgeetah” and the George Harrisons’s “Give Me Peace On Earth” ending their set hypnotic “Wordless Chorus,” which included the USC Marching Band. Each song builds upon the last to create a mesmerizing auditory journey. My Morning Jacket’s ability to blend rock, country, and psychedelic elements demonstrated their versatility and solidified their status as a festival favorite.

The energy continued to build with Latin rock legends Mana, who brought a vibrant and passionate performance that had the entire crowd dancing. Frontman Fher Olvera’s dynamic presence and the band’s infectious rhythms turned the festival into a massive celebration of Latin culture. Their hit “Labios Compartidos” and the massive international hit “Corazon Espinado” from their collaboration on Carlos Santana’s Superstition album had fans singing along, while Chef José Andrés, a noted admirer of the band, was spotted enjoying a cigar and enthusiastically enjoying the performance near the stage, adding a touch of celebrity sparkle to the proceedings.

As the night deepened, anticipation for Pearl Jam’s performance reached a fever pitch. The legendary grunge pioneers did not disappoint, delivering a powerful set that spanned their extensive catalog. Eddie Vedder’s unmistakable voice and the band’s tight musicianship created a spellbinding experience. The crowd erupted as the band launched into their latest hit “Wreckage” and then into classics “Corduroy” and “Why Go,” each note met with thunderous applause.

The highlight of the night came with an unexpected cameo by actor Bradley Cooper, who joined the band for a surprise performance of the Jason Isbell cover “Maybe it’s Time” and Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.” Cooper, known for his musical role in “A Star is Born,” showcased his vocal talents alongside Vedder, creating a moment of pure magic that will be remembered by all in attendance. The camaraderie between Cooper and the band was evident, adding an extra layer of joy and spontaneity to the night.

BottleRock’s day two was not just a concert but a celebration of diverse musical talents and unexpected moments.
