Future and Juice WRLD deliver a surprise collaboration album that everyone who’s a fan of hip-hop will fall in love with.
Hip-hop is a genre that has pretty much taken over, with all the artists that put in the work getting millions of hits and streams. Future is one artist in the game right now who has managed to be on top for a while with collaborations with Drake, Lil Wayne, and many others. With his mixture of rapping and singing, he has a voice that people want to listen to. He has been known to make amazing albums and mixtapes with him and one other artist, such as his 2017 album with Young Thug titled Super Slimey or his 2015 album with Drake, What a Time to Be Alive. The hip-hop community has now been graced with his latest album collaboration with a rapper and singer who has burst onto the scene, Juice WRLD who is still feeling the success of his 2018 album Goodbye & Good Riddance which contains the hit single “Lucid Dreams”. It potentially could be the best one yet. WRLD on Drugs is what the hip-hop community has been waiting for and everyone that’s a fan will be guaranteed to enjoy everything this album offers. With the two singles that were released, “Fine China” and the title track “WRLD on Drugs,” fans were ready to hear the whole thing and were teased for a few days before finally getting a listen.
The 16-track LP is a must listen for any hip-hop fan. Future and Juice WRLD vibe well together, with Future’s soothing laid-back voice mixed with Juice’s pop vocals which work well together. Every song is mixed and mastered to perfection, with songs ranging from a more poppy, catchy chorus to the harder beats that we know both of these artists can work with. The producers definitely deserve much of the credit of making beats that the listener can move to while enjoying the catchiness of WRLD on Drugs. The producers who helped make the album happen include Wheezy, SinGrinch, Psymun, Murda Beatz, and so many more. The outro track “Hard Work Pays Off” is fitting, while being an amazing and catchy song. It works because Future and Juice WRLD’s hard work did, in fact, pay off.
Future and Juice WRLD managed to grab some great features on this album that include Young Scooter, Young Thug, Gunna, and the queen of hip-hop herself, Nicki Minaj. These appearances add icing to the cake with killer verses and voices that manage to keep the vibe of the track whilst putting their own twist on the flow and the way the song progresses. Hip-hop fans will have trouble finding something negative about this album.
In a nutshell, this is an album that will get plenty of streams and plays, with many songs that could easily be a single. WRLD on Drugs will, for sure, have longevity and is something that you could listen to while partying with friends and sing along to loudly. This collaboration package is full of everything that hip-hop fans could expect and wish for. Future and Juice WRLD do not disappoint and feed off of each other’s styles to create something great.
